We love watching our alumni at different events so we couldn’t resist the opportunity to catch 2019 Hot 100 Girls Middle School Showcase Allstar Te’Keyah Bland play at the GetMeRecruited/LBI Season Tip-Off Classic. What we’ve always liked about Te’Keyah is how she works extremely hard and always gives maximum effort. Playing two grades up, she was still a force in the paint, boxing out and snagging more than her fair share of rebounds. If Te’Keyah wasn’t racking up putbacks she was putting herself in proper position to score. Defensively, she almost pulled off double digit blocks as opponents found it difficult to shoot over the top of her lengthy arms. Surprisingly we also saw her pull up from beyond the arc and drain it. If Te’Keyah continues to show she can dominate in formal games as well as informal showcases, it will only be a matter of time before her name pops up on the recruiting boards.
