Getting significant minutes on the 17U All Vegas unit, Montaya Dew shows tremendous upside and maturity. She’s very long and uses her length to rebound over the top of opponents. She is one of the most impressive young rebounders because of the way she jumps so high and takes pride in it, making her rebounding look like a work of art. We noticed her IQ was very good for her age, understanding how to play the pick-and-roll to perfection. Montaya surprised us with her ability to put the ball on the deck and finish despite the bump. Still young with much room for improvement, Montaya already possess the skills and IQ to be really darn good.
