Athan Gill doesn’t mind trying to throw it down on an opponent’s head. He loved to get out in transition so he could play above the rim but also did an excellent job of contributing on the glass. Athan has a strong motor which helped him outwork opponents for rebounding position. While gobbling up boards, Athan finished well with putbacks, absorbing the contact around the rim. His full versatility was on full display for everyone to see as he even drilled a couple of looks from beyond the arc. Athan’s athleticism and dog-like mentally gave the GMR staff no choice but to invite him to the Fresh Outta Middle School Invitational.
