One of the most impressive kids in the Exposure Hoopfest in New Orleans was Ashton Campbell. This Sports 601 Player of the Year averaged 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals during the high school season, all team highs, and scored 45 points in the game we watched, and we know exactly how he did it. With his shifty handles and quick change of pace this extremely athletic guard seemed virtually impossible to contain. As if his ability to get to the rim and finish with some awe-dropping athletic moves wasn’t a hard enough defensive assignment, Ashton is a certified bucket from anywhere on the floor, and we do mean anywhere. He had both his stop-and-pop and his long ball falling this weekend. This kid is special and if you are a college anywhere in the south, look this kid up and thank us later.
